Steph started her love for the water on a kayak in Spring 2020. Based in Southend, she used the local area to her advantage taking in the beautiful sunsets and sunrises on the water at Two Tree Island and at Thorpe Bay. Steph met Blue Therapy on a social outing in June with her other half Alex and was immediately drawn to the community.

Whilst on a paddling weekend away with BT, her inflatable kayak got a puncture so she had to borrow a paddleboard from the club for the remainder of the weekend as a backup and instantly fell in love with paddle boarding. You can now see Steph out most weekends on her new paddleboard in the local area with Alex, even the frost and snow didn't stop them!

Steph's love for paddle boarding has grown and she has now taken the next step to become a Paddle Board instructor where she can help others experience the wonders of Blue Therapy and see people's skills develop and grow in confidence on the water.
This is a great activity to get involved in, its all about enjoying the freedom, everyone paddles at their own pace and we are all here to support and help you, you will instantly make new friends, get involved in other area's within BT be that walking, cycling, open water swimming, fitness sessions, we're here to cater for your needs if you wish or simply sit back on the board, relax and take in the peace and tranquillity of the sounds of the waters brushing the shore.

Steph loves nothing more than to be on the water and meeting new people.
