About the event
The forecast promised sunshine and a balmy 11 degrees, so naturally, we decided this was the perfect time to embark on a lunchtime cycling adventure. Were we prepared? Absolutely not.
12:01 PM – The Optimistic Start
We roll out in high spirits, smugly ignoring the slight chill in the air. Someone (probably Lyndsay) claims, “11 degrees is basically summer!” as they set off in bib shorts. We all admire their confidence while secretly wearing three layers (4 for Del).
12:05 PM – The First Reality Check
The “sunshine” is playing a game of hide-and-seek behind ominous clouds, and the 11-degree warmth is actually an aggressive lie. Our noses start running faster than our legs. Lyndsay , now questioning her life choices, tries to convince us she’s “totally fine, guys.”
