Hi! I'm Lucia and I've lived in Leigh-On-Sea for 6 years, having 'migrated' from Devon to set up home with my partner Mat. I trained as a dancer at Elmhurst Ballet School, graduating with Honours with Distinction in Musical Theatre . I was fortunate enough to travel the world as a professional dancer until my late 20's, which also gave me an insatiable appetite for travel.

I started up my own video production company in 2000 and loved the variety and excitement of the work, but really missed dancing, so I taught modern, tap and ballet classes between shoots. However, during my rigorous training as a dancer back in the 90's, I became very curious about yoga. I have suffered with bouts of anxiety for much of my life and was drawn to the spiritual aspect of yoga and it's calming, uplifting effects. When I moved to Leigh I found a regular practice to be invaluable for my well being, especially in helping me through the heartbreak of infertility.

In 2018 I qualified as a Yoga Teacher with Yoga Haven in London. I teach Hatha, Vinyasa Flow and Yin Yoga, with a special interest in women's health and well being. My classes tend to be strong and dynamic, though I have a passion for introducing beginners to the magical positive effects of yoga.

They say "Once a dancer, always a dancer" and I love to set my classes to an eclectic mix of music. My Yogi Beat classes incorporate yoga, HIT and dance set to disco and deep house. I also offer Dance Cardio, Barre Sculpt and 'Life & Soul' dance fitness classes for the over 60's. For athletes such as swimmers, paddle boarders, cyclists and runners I offer specifically targeted classes focusing on strength, agility and flexibility.

I love to immerse myself in the area's ancient woodlands and always try to get up on Dartmoor when I visit my folks in Devon. I feel proud to call my little adoptive town of Leigh-On-Sea 'home' and I look forward to lots of walking, yoga and seaside adventures with the wonderful Blue Therapy team.
