WHAT IS PACKRAFTING?

Packrafts are known as very forgiving crafts. They are wide and buoyant, meaning it's easier for beginners to have a go without spending all their time in the water. That's good news too if you've filled your packraft full of kit that you'd rather keep dry. They are perfect for a wide array of activities, from a few hours on the water to single or multi-day expeditions.

Throughout the summer and in conjunction with ActiveThames we will be offering people the opportunity to try out Packrafting and see why this is fast becoming the new mode of paddling. A lightweight and compact boat that opens up a whole range of possibilities. portable enough to pop in your rucksack and walk to your preferred paddle location. This space saving boat can be inflated in mere minutes and is robust enough to carry all your camping and hiking kit, you can even take your bike.
