Filming & Award Nominations

A wet and windy afternoon on the beach at Thorpe Bay with a double rainbow for a backdrop provided a great setting for Sarah to find herself yet again in front of a camera for filming ahead of two upcoming awards ceremonies. With technical support from Del who provided the difficult task of holding the umbrella for the camera man and interviewer.

We have been nominated by members of our community for two amazing awards taking place on the 11th of November and the 6th of December. Sarah will be in attendance at the Civic Centre for the Southend City Awards, and then both Sarah and Del will be enjoying with guests an evening at the Chelmsford Racecourse for the ActiveEssex Awards.

To have been recognised by our community for the activities we provide to help others to stay active, improve their health and mental well-being is truly an honour and one we are extremely thankful for. The lives we have touched and people we have and continue to help along with the stories of what it has given them reward enough.

Both evenings will see us share the time with other amazing nominees and win or lose it is and will be a privilege to be a part of. We look forward to hearing all about the fantastic efforts of others in the community and across Essex who like ourselves are doing such great work for people.

We are excited and looking forward to the awards and will be doing a future blog on how the evenings went along with photographs from the events, so don't forget to keep an eye out for it. Finally we would like to wish all the candidates who have been nominated the very best of luck and a big thank you to our camera man for braving the elements to film us.
