Ladies Cycling

Earlier in February 2025 Lindsay & Maire travelled to Debenham in Suffolk for a day of Ride Leader training under Ian Small from CyclingUK. This was the final stage of their journey which began with some online training and theory prior to the practical assessment.

Joined by two others from the Debenhams locale they enjoyed a wonderful day including hills as they participated in a series of skills geared towards leading a group of cyclists. A very enjoyable day was had by all with some great feedback from both our new Blue Therapy Active Ride Leaders.

Lyndsay and Maire passing successfully wasn’t the only great news for our ever growing community cycle club. We had received two Brompton Bikes into the club providing those without wheels the opportunity to use on one of our regular outings.

Lyndsay & Maire will be looking to add some regular ladies rides among others to the calendar so watch out for these on our events tab on the page or here on the website, and be sure if you don’t have a bike or would like to try a Brompton to reserve one early.

With three Bromptons now who knows perhaps a Brompton Bike Buddies regular cycle club could be in the making ;-) A big thank you to Ian and CyclingUK for all their continued support. If you would like to join us for a ride we look forward to seeing you back in the saddle soon!
