Towards the end of 2021 I came across a post appealing for writers to submit a blog about paddle boarding in Essex.
After much deliberation and some gentle persuasion, with words of encouragement from my better half, I was persuaded to try my hand.
Much to my amazement I was chosen to pen the article and submit my work, an approximate 1,500 word piece.
Now how best to showcase some of the many places Essex has to offer, with so many to choose from, this was going to be tough.
My decision on where to write about was based on some of my favourite and most frequent places to paddle.
I had been given the opportunity to share my thoughts and memories of so many amazing paddles.
My hope is that for those of you who take the time to indulge in it, you too can get to relive some of your own fond memories.
