A LITTLE ABOUT JOHN
John Moore, AKA JohnClimber, based up in Liverpool in the North West of England. Around an hour from The Lake District, The Peak District and Snowdonia. Look on me as Your Man In The North, the groups budget Alistair Humprey’s, an off road bike packer and wild camper by heart, having found Pack Rafting several years ago I’ve grown my knowledge, experience and social media to be one of the go to guys for advice on them in the UK.

Disclaimer; I’ve built up my social media reputation with my photography and communication so much I do have 4 brand ambassador roles. Travers Bikes, based down your way in Canewdon, Lauf Forks, Reykjavik, Iceland, Custom Merit Gear, bike packing bags from Amsterdam, Neris Packrafts and folding kayaks. But please don’t think I’m here to push these, I will offer you honest opinions on any outdoor gear that I know about.

I’m a photographer, I’ve being doing “Photo A Day since Jan 1st 2009". Fat Biking for a similar length of time, you wouldn’t think Liverpool had beaches but we have miles and miles of beaches, sand dunes and singletrack. I’ve wild camped around 250 times in the last 10 years, from Wales, Scotland, Iceland, and all over the North of England.

Based up in the North West means I won’t be out on the water with you down south, but I’m here to help you all with pack rafting, trip planning, wild camping advice, bike packrafting and anything else you want to know about that I have experience of. My contribution will be to advise and do a monthly blog for the group about anything outdoors from tarps to photography, pack rafting to nights in bothies.
I’m also a volunteer River Guardian for my small local river called The Alt, where I take monthly samples and do a report on the water conditions and invertebrate etc.
One confession; I’ve never been on a SUP (yet)
