Service Description

If we were to recommend just one course for people to take it would be the paddle safer. Knowing what to do if you or someone you are with got into difficulty when out on the water is essential. Having a little knowledge and some skills that could save yourself or another water users life is priceless. No matter how long you have been paddling or where and what type of paddle board or kayak you own. This course will cover all the fundamental aspects around kit, clothing, weather and tides, environment and a range of rescue techniques. Across the two hours we will discuss the different options available to you while guiding you through the practical elements. We recommend to bring the craft you regularly use when out paddling but do have kayaks and paddle boards for you to hire for the course. These can be pre booked via the website ahead of the day. This a certificated British Canoeing Award and upon completion of the course your certificate will be emailed to your chosen address. There are limited spaces to ensure the group ratios and learning/teaching meets a high standard.
